The Clip Creator is a powerful tool for creating audio and video segments from larger media files for playback in Presentation Mode. If the media has an associated transcript with complete timestamp information, you can create clips both from page.line entries or from a user created clip list file. The Clip Creator is an essential tool for utilizing video depositions and motion exhibits, audio wiretaps and any other form of multimedia that can be played with Microsoft's Media Player or Active Movie control.

 

Before you can utilize the Clip Creator, you must have at least one media file added to the Videos Category. For information on adding media files, see the topic Adding Media Files.

 

The Clip Creator screen is made up of 6 regions:

 

Current Media Group and Root File List - List of files in the current group

Media Playback Screen - Media Player Controls

Synchronized Text Window - Page, Line and text of transcript if synchronized.

Clip Info Window - Name, Description, etc.
