Update Entire Group Path

This option replaces all of the original path entries in the current group with the new path location, based on the original path (before updating) of the selected item. This is often necessary when a user has moved files to a new directory without updating the case database.

For example, if you have five images located in "IMAGES\Group1" and you would like to update the path for all 5 items to "IMAGES\Group1A", then select the Update Entire Group Path check box.

Note - this option only replaces the items with existing paths which match the original path (the original path entry in the Path Location text box before the change was made). If some items in the group are located in a different directory location, these items will not be updated.

For example, if one of the items in the above example was actually located in "C:\EDITED\IMAGES", the path would not be updated since it does not match the original path "IMAGES\Group1".
