The following option settings affect the Clip Creator feature and Media Player control.
![]()
Rewind By (secs) – The rewind option setting determines the number of seconds the media player will back up in the current media file when the Rewind button is clicked.
Fast Fwd By (secs) – The fast forward option setting determines the number of seconds the media player will advance in the current media file when the Fast Forward button is clicked.
Video Still ID Naming – Use this option to automatically add Screen Captures to the Video Stills group in the Other Exhibits category. If you select Prompt for ID, then a dialog box will launch and prompt you for a unique ID for the Still image.

Fine Tune Clip – This setting can be used to change the number of seconds the clip creator will adjust a clip when the SHIFT key is held down. This number should be a decimal fraction. In most cases, the .1 setting (1/10th of a second) should be sufficient, however, if you require frame level accuracy, you may change this number to any decimal fraction. In general, there are 29-30 frames per second, so a setting of .033 will enable frame level accuracy. For the most part, the default setting should not be changed unless truly necessary.
Start Point Tweak – This value is subtracted from the current timestamp on the start line of a clip created using the Page.Line feature. This value should be set to a relatively small number, so that the first spoken word of a clip text line is clearly heard.
End Point Tweak – This value is added to last timestamp in a clip created using the Page.Line feature. By adding several seconds to the end of the timestamp value, your rough clips will be more accurate and require less "tweaking".
Auto Play When Adjusting - The Auto Play setting determines whether or not the media file will automatically resume playing after an adjustment is made to the start or end point. When enabled, the media file will play after an adjustment is made. When disabled, the user must manually play the segment after the change.
Use Page:Line as Description – When you create clips using the Page.Line feature, you automatically enter the range in the description field by selecting this option.
Fill Multi-clips on Double Click – Anytime you switch between tab views, by default, all of the individual segments are automatically reloaded into the multi-segment tree view. If your case contains a great deal of multi-segments, you may not want this to occur (as the greater the number of segments, the longer the load time). By selecting this option, only the multi-segment name is loaded into the tree. Double clicking on the segment then loads all of the individual segments for that multi-clip.
